Davis and Rachel Schmidt, both have 25+ years
of guiding experience in the Canyon and bring
that expertise to every trip that Ceiba outfits.
Our facility is based
in Flagstaff, Arizona on the east side of town.
It is purposely laid out with the river runner
in mind. Very organized, safe, secure and private,
along with our entire crew always very friendly
and willing to work with you and your group. Our
food pack headquarters is a modern, and clean
building equipped with everything needed to make
a food pack happen. Ceiba Adventures remains the

Ceiba expertise has
been utilized in the US and worldwide, including
Hollywood and the Adventure Film industry. Check
out our website for a list of the projects that
Ceiba has outfitted. Currently, we work with the
USGS and GCMRC (Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research
Center), and the Grand Canyon National Park Service
on many on-going science projects, such as archaeology,
fish studies, cultural trips and supply equipment
when needed.
Ceiba has the unique
ability to move 18’ self-bailing rafts inflated
on our trailers, large loads include 6 to 8 Grand
Canyon rigged row boats and we move Dories and
kayaks, as well. All of our large 37’ S-Rigs and
motorized snout boats are transported inflated
and fully rigged to and from the river. We make
it fast and easy at the rigs and de-rigs with
our long flatbed trailers. Ceiba’s trucks can
hold 5 seat-belted passengers in our quad-cab
trucks and we have 11 and 14 passenger vans for
your convenience.
Shuttle logistics
is one of our other specialties – we do and have
done it all. Private vehicle shuttles to and from
Lee’s Ferry, South Rim and Las Vegas connections,
and of course, Diamond Creek and South Cove too.
Ceiba also has a contract with Grand Canyon Youth,
moving all their equipment and guides to and from
the San Juan and their Diamond Down expeditions.
Some of the other
rivers that we commonly outfit are the Salt River,
Verde, San Juan, Diamond downs on the Colorado,
Cataract Canyon and small creeks and rivers in
the southwest needing inflatable kayaks.
When considering
a private river trip outfitter, Ceiba has an undeniable
reputation for offering friendly, prompt, reliable
service and for being on board with all of your
