- COVID-19 Updates | Ceiba Adventures
COVID BULLETIN as of March 11th, 2022 As the U.S. is on the edge of transitioning from the pandemic phase to an endemic phase, Ceiba has modified our COVID protocols based on the CDC's latest findings and statistics regarding lifting restrictions. Please note that this standard is flexible, depending on conditions in Coconino County. It is possible that we may return to a mask requirement, under this guidance, if conditions in Coconino County return to a high level. While the local community COVID level remains in either low or medium status, our standard is: Masks are no longer required in either indoor or outdoor locations on the Ceiba property. However, visitors are always welcome to wear a mask if it makes them more comfortable. We are still asking that you keep your group size under 4 people in our office. We are still requesting that you wear a face covering while riding in any of our shuttle vehicles. Note for put in drives to Lees Ferry: when traveling through the Navajo Nation, wearing a mask is still mandatory in public, whether a person is vaccinated or unvaccinated. Even though all Ceiba employees are fully vaccinated, we are remaining diligent knowing that COVID will remain an active virus for the foreseeable future. We're getting closer to putting this phase of the pandemic behind us. Thanks for your consideration. COVID BULLETIN as of August 10th, 2021 Based on current data and updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and in line with their recommendations, Ceiba Adventures has reinstated mask requirements in all our buildings & vehicles effective immediately. In late July, the CDC updated its COVID-19 guidance for fully vaccinated people, recommending everyone wear a mask in indoor public settings in geographic areas with substantial and high transmission, regardless of vaccination status. Coconino County COVID-19 case numbers have followed an upward trajectory over the past several weeks and the county is currently in “high” COVID-19 transmission. COVID BULLETIN as of June 2nd, 2021 As more of the population becomes vaccinated, some of Ceiba’s COVID-19 protocols are being reduced. All of Ceiba’s office, warehouse & driving staff have been fully vaccinated. However, we remain vigilant in our efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19 as it still remains a threat to the unvaccinated population and request that all people entering our office or warehouse still wear a face covering, vaccinated or not. If outside on Ceiba grounds, masks are optional. Wearing of masks in Ceiba vehicles will be addressed on a case by case basis. COVID BULLETIN from February, 2021 If all river participants are conscientious with their pre-trip activities and travel, the river corridor is an extremely safe place to be. Please read our recommendations and mitigation plan below. Ceiba has implemented strict protocols and procedures to combat, minimize and participate in the mitigation of the Coronavirus. Our already stringent protocols for equipment upkeep, food packing and transportation have been refined with CDC and WHO recommendations. We fully understand the seriousness of this threat. Ceiba will continue to be diligent in adapting our policies in this ever changing environment surrounding this zoonotic disease. Taking personal and group responsibility with the recommended protocols will only add to a positive experience for everyone's health and safety. Grand Canyon National Park is requesting all river trips to voluntarily bypass Havasu Canyon on the Colorado river, located at river mile 157. This request is an effort to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to further safeguard the Havasupai people and their traditional lands. River guides and boaters are encouraged to honor this request out of respect and safety for the Havasupai people. Recommendations for our Ceiba private trip clientele Ceiba Adventures COVID-19 Mitigation Plan For the time being, we ask all clients and visitors to Ceiba to be mindful of the following: Only 2 visitors at a time are permitted in the Ceiba office. Please use the hand-sanitizer provided at the front door before entering the office. Only Ceiba employees are allowed access to our warehouse and break-room. We ask that everyone wear a mask while on Ceiba property and in Ceiba vehicles during shuttles between Lees Ferry, Diamond Creek &/or Pearce Ferry If anyone needs to use the restroom, we have one available with exterior access. Thanks for respecting our protocols! We’ll get through this whole thing soon enough! Here at Ceiba we’re confident that we’ll get through these challenging times. We are committed in offering support and finding ways to mutually work thru this global pandemic. Our staff continues to man the phones and emails, and will be doing our best to keep you updated from credible sources. Thank you for all your support and please feel free to contact us at any time.
